Advanced Air Charters, which is based in Hawthorne, California, has sought permission to operate as a commuter carrier. They applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin scheduling passenger services in July, 2016.

This company is mainly known for air charter services and has been working closely with Surf Air and JetSmarter. Advanced Air Charters further owns twin turboprops and controls three others. It even manages three PC-12s.

The new approval will allow this charter company to fly more roundtrips between Hawthorne and Las Vegas McCarran.

The scheduled operator permit is less restrictive than the charter operating permit. The former allows regular flights whereas the latter is mainly for one-off or short-term operations. The application process requires filling a form and submitting it together with the required payment. It needs to state the details of the aircraft that will be used for the flights. Other specific details during the application include the number of flights, flight dates and route.

Advanced Air Charters is known for local and international charters. They focus on safety of their passenger and have been operating since 2006. The company started flying using its King Air 350’s on Mammoth Lakes

It then advanced to manage several Pilatus PC-12’s and King Air 350’s. It manages aircrafts and offers full service charters. Likewise, they have authority from Federal Aviation Administration to operate on demand charters.

Advanced Air operates from Hawthorne Airport which is close to the 105 freeway. This company has a master lease on the airport. It even owns a hanger space, Jet Center Los Angeles, that sits on 43,200 square-feet.

It is a privately held company with about 50 employees, and their services normally cost between $600 and $1,100.
